Friends of The Roseville
Public Library
The Friends of the Roseville Public Library is a non-profit organization
whose purpose is to support programs and services at the library. Anyone may
join the Friends by filling out and sending in an application with annual dues.
Dues pay for such services as the children's summer reading program and special
equipment. Applications are available at both library locations.
Who we are:
We believe libraries are important.
We encourage interest in books, reading, and public libraries.
We support the Roseville Public Library by working to provide more books,
media, and services.
What we do:
We purchase library books and videos to ensure an up-to-date
collection is available to patrons. We
purchase equipment which makes our library easier to use.
We fund programs for children, teens, and adults to encourage our community to enjoy the library and reading.
We raise funds through membership dues, donations, memorials, and used book sales. We seek donations and grants fro businesses and charitable organizations.
We study and support issues concerning our libraries. We provide a way for the public to express ideas about library facilities and services.
We
need your support!
These are tough times for libraries.
Personnel and hours are being cut in libraries across the country and
nothing saddens us more than the closed door of a library.
New construction is being postponed or cancelled outright.
Roseville is no exception. Therefore, we pledge to seek new and innovative ways to support the Roseville Public Library.
