FOL Teen Committee (FOLTC)
What is the FOLTC?
The FOLTC, or the Friends Of the Library Teen Committee, is a group of teens who care about the Roseville libraries and want to make a difference. We help run real events, make decisions regarding the library, and create a space where stories matter while inspiring young readers. We also get to meet other teens who love books as much as we do! Our group is more than just a committee—it's a community, and we’d love to have you join!
Why you should join
The Friends of the Library Teen Committee is about having a say in what happens at the Roseville libraries. We help bring events to life, share our voices in decisions that shape the library, and build a space where stories are celebrated. Plus, every meeting counts toward certified volunteer hours! Joining the FOLTC is our way of making an impact on the community while also spreading the magical world of books with younger children.

Pranathi Pydi Co-President I’ve always been a book lover and library regular, so when the FOLTC reached out to me, I knew I had to jump at the chance! After volunteering at the library many times, joining the FOLTC felt like the perfect next step. It’s been a great way to support something I care about—promoting reading, community, and the magic of libraries!!Book Recs: Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard Vaani Tiwari Secretary Ever since I can remember, books have always been my thing; I was that kid checking out five at a time and reading under the covers with a flashlight. Being part of the FOLTC is such a fun way to help your local library and share your passion for stories with others! Book Recs: The Powerless trilogy by Lauren Roberts!! (& Perfect On Paper by me!!) |
Seerat Kaur Social Media Manager Since the day I learned to read, I could never stop. I would just read my problems away, pick up one book after another never wanting the story to end. I found comfort in the stories many authors communicated to me. Many kids enjoyed playing soccer but I enjoyed reading. When you join the FOLTC, your love for reading can be embraced along with doing volunteer and community work. Book Recs: Cinder |
Ella Frigerio FOL Board Representative I’ve grown up in a family where books are everything, and they’ve truly shaped me into the person I am, which is why I love being a part of the FOLTC so much! It is such a great way to gain volunteer hours, help out with the library, and share your love of literature with the community. Book Recs: The Book Thief |
